Ordering

As part of the Kohler family, shopping on our site allows you to purchase Kohler, Kallista, and Robern products in the same checkout experience. Browse each brand's offerings, add your selections to your cart, and you will see each item listed in the same place.

You will be charged once but will receive separate order confirmations for each brand. For questions about Kohler, Kallista, and/or Robern products, please reach out to the respective brand’s customer service team.

Discounts for Kohler, Kallista, and Robern products are exclusive to each brand and therefore cannot be applied to your Ann Sacks order.

The Ann Sacks tile calculator is designed to assist you with your online purchase. If you are visiting an Ann Sacks showroom, a sales associate can assist with quantity needed but will recommend verifying quantities needed with your designer, architect, contractor, installer or equivalent as we cannot be held repsonsible for discrepancies.

For ease of purchase, please reach out to our customer service team for placing large orders.

The Ann Sacks tile calculator is designed to simplify your online purchase. Simply measure the space you intend to tile, input the square footage into the calculator, and our calculator will determine how much tile you will need. You will receive an output for the quantity of boxes the calculator estimates for your project. The calculator does not account for overage.

We typically recommend ordering at least ten to fifteen percent (10-15%) overage, sometimes more, depending on the product type, patterning, etc., to account for cuts and other waste.

Due to the nature of each material, please pay attention to the usage icons on the individual product page. These icons indicate the areas of your space in which that tile can be used (ie. showers, flooring, freeze/thaw, etc.). We also recommend reviewing the tearsheet associated with the collection for additional details for installation and usage.

While these usage icons are intended to be a guideline, your designer and/or specifier is responsible for determining the suitability of Ann Sacks tile for your existing conditions. Installation, design, and environmental conditions are beyond the control of Ann Sacks; therefore, Ann Sacks cannot be held responsible for improper installation, design, or environmental conditions.

The world of tile is vast and if you are taking on your tile project yourself, it can be hard to know what direction to go in. Browse our Rooms Inspiration for a virtual gallery of inspiration for a variety of spaces and design aesthetics.

Product

All products listed on the website are currently in stock and ready to ship, unless otherwise specified. If an item is nonstock or made-to-order, this will be clearly notated and we recommend reaching out to our customer service team or your nearest showroom to place an order.

Product availability dates provided are estimates only and do not represent fixed or guaranteed delivery dates. Any additions or changes to the order could delay the delivery date and may result in dye lot variation. If you have a question regarding availability of a specific item, please reach out to our customer service team.

Cleaning your tile and stone requires routine maintenance like wood floors or carpet. Some stone and specialty products, in fact, may need special attention. In general, you will want to clean up any spills immediately using only mild detergent and warm water. Never use acidic or abrasive cleaners.

With respect to tile and stone, variations in color, shade, flow, grain, tonality, crazing, veining, and texture are inherent characteristics thereof and are not considered defects. Variations in facial dimensions and thickness will be allowed as per industry standards.

If there are significant discoloration or texture issues, please reach out to a customer service representative.  Be prepared to provide images of the issues in question along with your order details and we will do our best to resolve the issue!

Shipping & Delivery

All Ann Sacks orders are shipped from our Portland and/or Baltimore warehouses via a common carrier.

Orders are shipped by either package service (ie. FedEx) or a freight carrier depending on weight and product type. Shipping estimates will be quoted at the time of order and may be modified if the actual shipping cost varies upon the final shipment. Items are shipped as they become available.

We cannot fully guarantee lead times as events may occur that are outside of our control. Delays may occur during the production process, but we will do our very best to notify you should such a situation arise. Once your order ships, you will receive an email with tracking information.

While we make every effort to avoid delays in production, Ann Sacks assumes no liability for direct, indirect, special, or consequential damages, lost working time, or any expenses that relate directly or indirectly to variations in delivery dates and times or in the event of a delivery being delayed, postponed or incorrect.  If you are concerned about lead times, please reach out to inquire about current lead times before placing an order, as it may vary depending on the order and our current production queue.

For larger orders, we recommend requesting liftgate services. This will aid in getting your order from the delivery truck to the ground where it can then be transported to your space. If you are interested in quote for this service, please contact your sales representative before placing your order. If you request a liftgate after your order has already been placed, the liftgate fee is likely to be higher and you will be charged an additional fee.

If this service does not fit in your budget, we recommend asking your tile contractor or friends to be onsite for additional assistance. Additionally, apartment or building deliveries are delivered to the first floor.

To ensure successful delivery, we require onsite contact information for any delivery we make. Whether we deliver to a residence, business, or construction site, we will require your designated onsite contact to accept the order. Therefore, onsite contact information is imperative upon order confirmation. The shipping company will contact you within a day before transit to confirm delivery.

Ann Sacks is not responsible for additional freight costs associated with shipments en route for: 1) re-consignment fees for changing delivery address; 2) re-delivery fees where failed delivery attempts occurred; 3) additional expediting and/or special delivery requirements.

Please review the shipment for accuracy of materials ordered, including quantity, quality, and color, and for any shipping damage upon delivery. Contact our customer service team immediately if any problems exist. We can only process one claim per shipment and are unable to process any claims if the material has already been installed. All freight damage claims must be presented in writing to both Ann Sacks and the delivery carrier within five days of receipt of material.

Please note: For field tile orders 2% - 4% of the tile damaged, chipped or scratched is acceptable. Tiles are primarily handmade, hand-picked and hand-packed. Slight surface issues are standard.

Returns

Returns must be submitted within 30 days and will not be accepted after that time. Returns will incur a 25% restocking fee, plus freight to and from the shipping location. Returns must be in original condition and packaging to qualify. No credit given for product returned in non-saleable condition. Please note: Samples and sale items are not returnable, and shipping charges are non-refundable.

For more detail, please see our return policy here.

Due to their unique nature, custom and nonstock orders cannot be returned. These orders cannot be cancelled even before the standard cancellation window.

Excess tile cannot be returned. We recommend storing this tile for additional projects or replacing tiles if they receive damage in the future.

While we make every effort to avoid delays in production, they do occasionally occur and are not considered grounds for cancellation.

Ann Sacks Tile and Stone, Inc. assumes no liability for direct, indirect, special, or consequential damages, lost working time, or any expenses that relate directly or indirectly to variations in delivery dates and times or in the event of a delivery being delayed, postponed or incorrect.

Yes - All Ann Sacks brand products carry Ann Sacks’ One-Year Limited Warranty unless otherwise noted.

Ann Sacks products are warranted to the original customer to be free from defects in product and workmanship for one (1) year from initial shipment date. For brands other than Ann Sacks, see the manufacturer’s written warranty, which is available upon your request to customer services. Ann Sacks is not responsible for removal, installation, labor charges, or other incidental or consequential costs. In no case shall Ann Sacks’ liability exceed the purchase price of the product. Product damage caused by improper installation, installing in unsuitable environments, other misuse, abuse, or accident, or improper maintenance is not covered by this warranty.

No warranties are made against crazing, scratching or wear due to improper installation, including but not limited to improper alteration of the surface with sealers or grout, falling objects, abuse, misuse, exposure to extreme temperatures, using improper chemicals or compounds, non-foot traffic wear, or other similar incidents.

Installation

Ann Sacks does not offer installation services at this time. Installation instructions are available upon request to customer service OR we recommend referring to TCNA guidelines.

Successful installation is essential to bring a room to life and maintain it as a place you can live with. Ann Sacks strongly recommends that skilled, professional installers be retained for even the smallest project. In fact, small projects can be the most critical. Due to our tiles' handmade nature, varying degrees of color, texture, and slight size variation will occur. This gives distinctive beauty to each tile.

All material should be inspected prior to installation. We recommend pulling from all boxes during installation to minimize any dye lot differentials throughout your project. Do not install tile with hairline cracks or chips. Installation of product constitutes acceptance.

Although opinions are varied in the industry about sealing ceramic tile, Ann Sacks recommends that a sealer be used on all tile installations. It is strongly recommended that a small sample of a tile be tested with the sealer before an entire installation is sealed.

Installations of crackle glazes should be resealed after 90 days of installation, and then again after one year. Crackle glazes by nature continue to crackle for several months. As this occurs, each new crackle line becomes unsealed and will allow water into the tile body.

Sustainability

At Ann Sacks, sustainability is a way of life. As providers of luxury tile and stone, we seek to help beautify your personal space as naturally as possible. But we know that our daily operations—from powering the kilns in our factory to keeping the lights on in our showrooms—consume precious resources. Eco-Thinking keeps us ever mindful of ways to reduce our footprint.

The hub of our Eco-Thinking efforts is our Portland, Oregon factory—where we manufacture the signature MADE by ANN SACKS Collection. Here, we currently use an energy-efficient fast-firing kiln design, and since 2023, we've implemented t a periodic gas kiln that aids in recycling waste heat.

All excess raw clay used in the MADE by ANN SACKS Collection tile is recycled. We use only lead-free glazes. All manufacturing wastewater is filtered prior to leaving the facility. Our finished-goods seconds are donated to a local non-profit community enhancement organization. All Ann Sacks products ship in recycled and/or recyclable packaging.

Tile and stone offer some inherently sustainable attributes, such as longevity, freedom from chemical off-gassing, and surfaces that may not rely on toxic chemicals. Our most sustainable products—from recycled glass to energy-efficient concrete—are labeled with our Eco-Thinking logo for easy identification.

Driven a passion for innovative sustainability, our partners at Kohler WasteLAB® take landfill-bound materials and convert them into functional products of style and beauty. From that passion came the Abstra and Crackle tile collections. Exclusive to Ann Sacks, these collections are handcrafted from nearly 100% recycled waste materials.
