PORTLAND, Ore. (October 2, 2023) – ANN SACKS, an industry leader in luxury tile and stone, has announced the opening of its ANN SACKS Studio and Slab Gallery at The Cardinal Building, 20-01 51st Avenue, Queens, NY 11101, ph. (718) 310-5541. This is the third ANN SACKS showroom location in New York City and includes a complete range of products and some of ANN SACKS most compelling and best-selling slabs from around the world. Visitors will also find inspired vignettes showcasing ANN SACKS, Robern, and KALLISTA designs, as well as, STRIKE fireplaces and unique tabletop, glass, and homewares, many exclusive to ANN SACKS. The ANN SACKS hybrid Showroom/Slab Gallery design joins the earlier Dallas and Nashville locations, which opened in 2022, to provide a more immersive and fulfilling overall shopping experience in key U.S. ANN SACKS established locations. Additional locations are underway to open in late 2023 and 2024.
The Long Island City brick-and-mortar showroom and slab gallery offers customers a cohesive, hands-on approach to better appreciate a stone’s organic beauty, figuring, and textural qualities as can only be realized in a larger scale format. This also allows ANN SACKS to warehouse inventory to meet those tighter deadlines and support ANN SACKS’ continually evolving merchandising and sales needs faster and more efficiently than ever before.
Approximately 20 minutes from ANN SACKS New York 18th Street and 58th Street showroom locations, the Long Island City showroom and slab gallery has plenty of parking available for visiting clientele. The showroom’s floor-to-ceiling windows provide the perfect backdrop with expansive views of New York City and bringing in plenty of natural light. Additionally, strategically placed combinations of state-of-the-art, 90-percent low-energy LED track, recessed and linear down lighting add to the natural light to further bringing out the slabs’ pure color and tactile surface nuances.
The showroom, which connects with the slab gallery in an open concept, allows floor traffic to move free and easy throughout the space, with crisp architectural elements, including concrete floors and exposed brick, creating a clean, industrial vibe that is upbeat and energizing. The slab gallery continues the neutral, engaging aesthetic, with unobstructed views and natural and LED lighting presenting the marble and stone colorations and veining in its truest light.
A reception area sets the stage with a sophisticated seating area that includes the STRIKE Augusto Fireplace in White Hone surrounded by ANN SACKS Terrazzo Form in Smoke. Other areas include a conversation point with table surrounded by four leather upholstered chairs, a generous six-seat worktable, charging stations, and a well-stocked refreshments center. Additional work stations and a series of vignettes are found throughout the space, including ANN SACKS Curated Willowmere and Rosebrook Suites, and the STRIKE Stella Fireplace in a Pepper, Andoquin, and Antico blend surrounded by ANN SACKS handcrafted MADE Modern Split Square tile in the New Mercury colorway. Creativity continues in the Kitchen/Scullery area with a backsplash in Senso by Kelly Wearstler, an inlaid archway and single slab island of Calacatta Danielle, with the Scullery walls in a white/beige Ashmont checkerboard tile design, and custom Kodra tile dog feeding station.
Moving from the reception into the adjoining, larger warehouse section, clients will be able to view 60 varieties and up to 500 different slabs in the comfortable air-conditioned environment. Purely meant for large slab installations, the selection will include an array of ANN SACKS’ extremely popular Terrazzo Renata designs, as well as a variety of porcelain, marble, limestone, natural quartz, and granite slabs to keep inspiration flowing every step of the way. The ANN SACK Showroom and Slab Gallery is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on Saturday by appointment.
