PORTLAND, Ore. (July 25, 2024) – Ann Sacks Smoke Collection of limestone designs adds a contemporary spin to a traditional surfaces choice by employing three distinct finishes to draw out the stone’s natural beauty in visually different interpretations. The silvery, pewter tiles are offered in Honed, Flamed, and Linen finishes, the inclusions and demarcations heightened or softened depending upon the technique selected.
Honed: Offered in 12”x12”, 12”x24”, and 18”x18” field tiles, with a feathery soft hand, the colorations gently blurred with darker, sporadic pooling adding delicate contrast.
Flamed: Offered in a 16”x 24” field tile and an impressive Manoir pattern field tile. The design features a textural field, the technique lending the grey colorations a bit more prominence, and a gently undulation creating dimension and shifting movement as light plays across the surface.
Linen: Available in a 12”x24” field tile, expertly finished to bring forth a nubby patterning reminiscent of fine woven fabric, the surface an intriguing mix of soft grey shading and mottling in an understated play of shadow and light.
Smoke, with its dense persona, subtle pearl-to-stormy colorations, and large-scale formats, can be mixed and matched in creative customization for memorable statements whether selected for grand scale flooring, feature walls, and fireplace surrounds. Due to its hearty composition, Smoke is also an excellent candidate for bathrooms and countertops, as well as the outdoors, dependent upon climate and method of installation.
